All of these could have been correct answers, however, I want to emphasize the cypher's (nAts) game sense to quickly get a swing to see if he can catch an opponent off guard.
As the smoke is blooming into animation, there is a second where nAts can see through the smoke. This will most likely catch the enemy off guard. This is a likely advantageous fight instead of a random 50/50 engagement.
